Meet the Pets Live!
Please help support the York County SPCA by joining us for our 2nd Annual Meet the Pets Live! Friday, September 28, 2018 beginning at 6:30 pm at the Country Club of York. The fun filled evening will include a silent auction, cash bar and buffet dinner. Most importantly, it is an opportunity for our amazing shelter animals to strut their stuff. Our host for the event is Bob Rudy and our Presenting Sponsor is East York Veterinary Center. We look forward to spending the evening with you and we can’t wait for you to “meet the pets”. Their stories will melt your heart and who knows, you may just find a new family member! Tickets are $55/person and are already selling quickly. Seating is limited to please get your tickets early.
Last week, the York County SPCA reached a milestone. We are proud to tell you that all of our medical services are now AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited. This means that our spay/neuter Surgical Center, our shelter’s veterinary wing (where we care for our shelter pets), and our low cost medical assistance program known as CARMA all adhere to the highest level of veterinary excellence. The York County SPCA’s medical services earned accreditation following a rigorous review of our veterinary protocols, medical equipment, facility and client services.
The York County SPCA is always striving to be the best we can be and we know that AAHA accreditation of our medical services will assure our community that we provide the best possible care to our valued spay/neuter clients, our beloved shelter pets and our CARMA program participants.
Our entire medical team has worked extraordinarily hard to make this challenging dream a reality. Specifically, we would like to acknowledge Dr. Kimberly Mann and Dr. Natalie Weekes for their dedication, expertise and overall awesomeness!
To learn more about AAHA, please visit aaha.org/petowner or connect on Facebook and “like” the American Animal Hospital Association.

Shirts for Shirley and Skeeter
The York County SPCA has taken on several neglected horses over the past few years. Two of them being Shirley Temple and Skeeter who are finally in good condition and ready to start training. We need your help to make this happen as soon as possible. All proceeds will go directly to the training of these two horses. Our goal is to raise $1,600 which will cover the cost of both horses going to training.
Please copy and past the above link into a new tab on your computer screen for viewing, sizing, and of course ordering. You can also view and purchase the shirts on our Facebook page-York County SPCA.
Thank you for your support to the York County SPCA Equine Program!
