How to Help

Thank you for your interest in helping us achieve our mission of helping the animals and residents of York County. It is due to the amazing services of individuals around York that we are able to continue to serve our community!  Thank you!

York County SPCA Fundraising Events

We host several off-site and on-site large scale fundraisers throughout the year. Do you have a team at work or group of friends that are looking to volunteer? We want you!

  • Secure auction and/or raffle items such as gift cards and various types of themed gift baskets. Do you own a small business or work for a business who would be willing to donate a basket? That helps too!
  • Share our events on your personal and business social media pages. Pass out fliers, distribute information to our list of partners to help us spread the word about our specific event.
  • Help prior to the event with goodie bag stuffing, set up the day of, help during the event with parking, registration, crowd control, and tear down.

Host a Fundraiser

Bake sales, yard sales, raffles, craft sales, lemonade stands, happy hours, jeans days or dress down days at the office-Get creative and let us know what you did, we love hearing your ideas!

Getting married? Having a birthday?

Think of donating to the York County SPCA for your wedding favors or in lieu of birthday gifts. Suggested text for your invitations or marketing purposes:
“In honor of this special day, a gift has been made on behalf of all of our wonderful supportive family and friends gathered here today and those with us in spirit to the York County SPCA (”

Host a Wish-List donation drive

Our wish list is an up to date compilation of items we use day in and day out at the SPCA. It is split into categories by use and can be found below.

Youth Volunteer Program (13-17 years old)

The youth group meets the first Saturday of each month from 10:30am-1:30pm. During this time the youth will be packing dog and cat food which will be distributed to our local senior centers. The later half of the meeting the youth will take a field trip or hear from a guest speaker. The program does not permit the students to have contact with the shelter animals. The yearly registration fee is $10 which can be paid at the time of signing up. Please stop by the SPCA to fill out an application or email to inquire.
